As you may know, tuition can be very expensive for students. In response to that, universities, colleges and public organizations have set up a system of scholarships, which are financial aids for students awarded upon fulfilment of certain requirements, to help them focusing on their studies. What you may not know is that there are also private organizations that distribute scholarship, and among them are companies. These are called “corporate scholarships”.
Many large companies and corporations sponsor scholarships in order to allow students, generally from high school and college, to pay for their studies. Most of the time, the scholarships are distributed by large foundations owned by the companies. Some of these companies take this initiative as a part of their corporate social responsibility, while others provide scholarships to potential employee candidates. In the United States for instance, there are scholarships aimed at helping the integration of women, minorities and people with disabilities.
